Gothic 1 Remake’26

Yeah, this this has been a lot of fun. It's ever so slightly clunky, but in a way that I can accept. Like, it's fun enough to where I'm like, 'Okay, that's fine.'

for that price, I think you are getting a faithful remake of that original game that captures so much of what made it an original and compelling experience even these days while also making it much more approachable for a lot of people

But as a newcomer, as a fan, as a person that would spend $60 on this, I don't think it's worth it. I'll be honest, I think this game should have been 20 or $30 in value.

Bottom line, if you love RPGs and you've not played Gothic, give this a go and you will have something that you've never quite had before. If you're already a Gothic fan, yeah, this is really worth your time. It has that Gothic essence to it.

Gothic Remake for me is a success. Alchemia really did a lot to make the experience very immersive and true to the original as much as possible. We could have gone much, much worse, trust me.

Longtime fans will enjoy this, though newcomers might want to proceed with caution.

I couldn't stop playing Gothic Remake, I didn't want to stop playing because in the ways that matter most, Gothic Remake, at least the part I had access to, is exactly the game I wanted it to be, with a few little exceptions.

But overall, it's very exciting to get the chance to check the game out... Gothic is pretty iconic. It's a classic through and through capital C classic.
