StreamerTerms of Service
These terms govern your use of StreamerTakes ("the site"). By visiting the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. What the site is
The site is a static archive of short quotations and notes about video games drawn from publicly available creator sources (such as YouTube videos). Each note links back to its original source. Sentiment labels and score normalizations are our interpretation, not statements by the creators themselves.
2. Attribution and source material
All quoted text remains the work of the original creator. We include short excerpts for editorial, review, and commentary purposes (fair use / fair dealing / quotation rights under applicable law). Game artwork on the site is either original artwork we created, freely licensed material (with attribution shown), or material explicitly distributed by the publisher for editorial use.
If you are a rights holder and believe content on the site infringes your rights, contact contact@example.com with the URL, the specific content, and proof of your rights. We will review and respond promptly.
3. Featured creators
If you are a streamer, YouTuber, or other creator whose video is quoted on the site, we want to hear from you. Featuring on the site is editorial and does not imply your endorsement of StreamerTakes. We do not pay for, sponsor, or solicit reviews.
- Removal: to have a specific clip, quote, or your channel removed from the site, email contact@example.com. We aim to action good-faith requests within a few business days. For formal rights-holder claims, see §2.
- Score corrections & verified replies: scores shown on the site are either explicit ratings you gave in a video, or scores we inferred from your commentary. If you believe our interpretation misrepresents your view on a game, email contact@example.com. We are happy to replace an inferred score with a creator-attributed rating, add a short reply note next to a quote, or remove the entry entirely.
4. No warranty
The site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that scores, sentiment labels, timestamps, release dates, or other metadata are accurate, complete, or up to date. Do not rely on the site for purchasing, investment, legal, or other consequential decisions.
5. External links
The site links to third-party sites (YouTube, Steam, publisher pages, etc.). We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability, terms, or privacy practices.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the site in a way that violates any law or third-party right.
- Attempt to disrupt, attack, or reverse the site's infrastructure or analytics.
- Scrape the site in a way that imposes an unreasonable load.
7. Advertising
Pages on the site may contain advertising served by Google AdSense. We do not endorse advertised products and are not responsible for advertiser content. Ad personalization is governed by your cookie choice (see the privacy policy).
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, StreamerTakes and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud or for any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
9. Changes
We may update these terms at any time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer protection law requires otherwise.
