Crimson Desert’26
Streamer verdicts
Review notes ·10
Crimson Desert is the closest thing we have had to Skyrim since Skyrim. And I do not mean in terms of its setting or its mechanics... I am talking about the feeling that Skyrim gave you when you played it for the first time all those years ago.
The sense of possibility, wonder, and adventure that sits at the heart of this is lightning. It has only been successfully bottled a few times before, and Pearl Abyss have done it here with Crimson Desert.
Mortismal Gaming
I had fun with Crimson Desert. I had a pretty good time even if it was slow going at first. I would recommend this game so long as you have the knowledge of what this game actually is as you get into it.
Mortismal Gaming
First impressions-wise, though, definitely some rough edges and basically I just want to see if there's actually going to wind up being more depth to any of this or is it going to be really more of a gameplay first sort of experience.
Worth A Buy
This game is by far not even close by far the biggest pile of garbage that I have ever played in 35 years of gaming as far as the controls is concerned. This is a high contender for worst game of 2026. It does everything wrong and I cannot recommend it at all.

Crimson Desert is one of the most remarkable games I think I have ever played and I absolutely adore it
FightinCowboy
my final verdict, my final recommendation... I would say this is a nine out of 10, but it's a tentative 10 out of 10 because if the devs keep cooking and knocking out the bugs
This one is got enough bugs and enough issues there with the imbalances that I would say this is a wait. I loved a great deal about this game, do not get me wrong, but losing 6 hours is awesome - I am joking, it is not awesome.
I'm going in cautiously optimistic. I think everything that I saw of this game and marketing for the game... it did feel like a fever dream.
I actually have a gut feeling that this is going to be pretty great. Weird and janky and uneven, but ultimately great.
