By and large, Alan Wake was a pleasant surprise. I wasn't exactly sure what to expect when I went into it, but I wound up having a lot of fun with it. I really enjoyed the story.

I don't think Alan Wake is a perfect game but the uniqueness of the story its setting and the ideas makes it hard to not recommend to someone who's into both the horror and action shooting genres
